Saturday's National Lottery jackpot will roll over to an estimated £7.3 million after no players managed to match all six winning numbers in Wednesday's draw. The jackpot continues to grow as lottery fever builds across the country.
The winning Lotto numbers drawn were 17, 31, 47, 05, 58 and 09, with the bonus number being 35. Despite millions of tickets sold, no player successfully matched the complete set of numbers required to claim the top prize.
No million-pound winners either
The disappointment extended beyond the jackpot, with no ticket-holders managing to win the £1 million second prize by matching five of the six main numbers plus the bonus ball. This means the substantial prizes will continue to accumulate for Saturday's draw.
Wednesday's draw marked a significant milestone as the first Lotto draw since the National Lottery paused operations over the weekend. The pause enabled the biggest technology upgrade in the game's 31-year history to be implemented.
Technology upgrade completed
Set of balls L3 and draw machine Lotto3 were used for the historic first draw following the major system overhaul. The National Lottery confirmed all systems operated smoothly during the resumed service.
In the accompanying Lotto HotPicks game, which uses the same numbers as the main Lotto draw, no players matched all five numbers to claim the £350,000 top prize. However, two fortunate ticket-holders each won £13,000 after successfully matching four of the five numbers.
Thunderball results announced
The Thunderball draw produced winning numbers 19, 02, 27, 03 and 38, with the Thunderball itself being 11. No players managed to match all five numbers plus the Thunderball to claim the maximum £500,000 prize.
One player did achieve success in the Thunderball draw by matching all five regular numbers, earning them a £5,000 prize. Saturday's draws promise even bigger jackpots as the prizes continue to roll over.
