EE has been identified as Britain's most complained about provider for broadband, landline, and pay-TV services in the second quarter of 2025. This marks the first time since late 2023 that a single telecommunications company has held the worst performer title across all three service categories.
Customer complaints about EE focused primarily on faults, service quality, connection issues, grievance handling, and service during provider changes. The figures, published by telecommunications regulator Ofcom, cover the period from April to June.
Industry-wide improvement
Despite EE's poor performance, overall complaint numbers for the telecommunications sector have fallen to their lowest recorded levels. Complaint volumes decreased since the first three months of 2025 across fixed broadband, landline, and pay-TV services.
Plusnet was named the least complained about fixed broadband provider for the second consecutive quarter. Utility Warehouse maintained its position as the least complained about landline provider for the 18th consecutive period. TalkTalk received the fewest complaints for pay-TV services. In the mobile sector, Three UK was identified as the most complained about provider, though the differentiation between top providers was minimal.
Cristina Luna-Esteban, Ofcom's director of consumers and retail markets, said: «We're pleased to see the continued reductions in complaints that we've received.» She added: «In fact, complaints across all services are at the lowest or joint lowest levels we've ever seen. This is a significant benchmark, and we hope this positive momentum continues, for the benefit of customers now and in the future.»
