Sir Anthony Hopkins has delighted fans by channelling his iconic Hannibal Lecter character whilst promoting Kim Kardashian's latest beauty product. The 87-year-old actor posted a video on Instagram wearing Skims' new face wrap, complete with his character's signature menacing sound.

In the promotional clip, Sir Anthony dons the sculpting face band and tells Kardashian: "Hello Kim. I'm already feeling 10 years younger." He then makes the distinctive teeth-clicking noise that became synonymous with his cannibalistic character from The Silence of the Lambs.

Hopkins references dinner invitation

The actor captioned his video with a playful nod to his character's murderous appetite: "Thank you Kim. Don't be afraid to come over for dinner." The reference clearly evokes Lecter's infamous habit of consuming his victims.

Sir Anthony's portrayal of the psychotic serial killer earned him the leading actor gong at the 1992 Academy Awards. In the film, Lecter is frequently shown wearing a tan face mask designed to prevent him from biting others whilst imprisoned.

Skims product sells out quickly

The Skims face wrap that Sir Anthony demonstrates offers "ultra-soft jaw support" and promises to sculpt facial features, according to the brand's advertising. The seamless product retails for £52 but has already sold out following its launch.

Kardashian's shapewear brand launched its first collection in 2019 and has experienced rapid growth since. The company will open its first UK store next summer on London's Regent Street after securing a deal with the Crown Estate.

Actor's enduring legacy continues

Sir Anthony remains one of the world's greatest living actors and is also known for starring in The Silence of the Lambs sequel Hannibal (2001) and its prequel Red Dragon (2002). His unexpected collaboration with the reality star's beauty brand has generated significant social media buzz.
